NewZNew (Chandigarh) : In recent times, this certainly is an unusual story in a Punjabi film where relationships are weighed on the basis of a possession called ‘Bambukat’, in literal meaning a motorcycle. Beautifully written by Jass Grewal, this film is hitting the screens on 29th July i.e. this Friday and has been directed by none other than Pankaj Batra who directed Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo.
It is a production of Nadar Films & Rhythm Boyz Entertainment which are known for their previous hits Angrej and Love Punjab. This romantic family film has been produced by Karaj Gill & Amiek Virk. The film stars Ammy Virk, Binnu Dhillon, Sardar Sohi, Karamjit Anmol, Simmi Chahal, Sheetal Thakur, Hobby Dhaliwal & Nirmal Rishi.
The team of the film was in town for the promotion and met the media. Director Pankaj Batra said, “A healthy script gives you some kind of motion and motivation and you keep going with the words framing the film. In the end, a beautiful script gives you a beautiful film. Bambukat is such an example. The trailer has got an overwhelming response and the film is being talked about all over.”
Ammy Virk is proving his mettle as an actor with every new film and this time again he is donning this desi avatar and looks promising. He said, “Any film which makes me play myself on the screen comes easy for me. The film is a story of a village and so is my life. As a Punjabi, I am really proud of growing up in the streets of Punjab and this film is also coming from that atmosphere.”
Binnu Dhillon is known for his comic timing and with this film he is adding satire to his dialogues. He said, “Dialogues are a USP of Bambukat. It was really fun to work on this project and I look forward to a milestone in my career with this flick. People are definitely going to connect with each scene of the film.”
The music of the film has been composed by Jatinder Shah and is doing the rounds. Producers Karaj Gill & Amiek Virk said that they wanted the best of combination in every department which they eventually got. The film was shot in Ferozpur and the schedule continued for 40 days. The songs of the film have been sung by Ammy Virk, Kaur B, Prabh Gill and Amrinder Gill.
