Build bridges: this world does not need walls says Nirankari Baba

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Mohinder Singh Ji, Chandigarh Branch Sanyojak, Sant Niranakari Mandal told today that close to 30,000 devotees from the tri-city region flocked to the Samagam grounds at the annual Nirankari Sant Samagam. Mohinder Singh Ji stated that the Samagam began with the Jaighosh of His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj.

Shri Singh further stated said that Bringing in the spirit of oneness and taking ahead the noble initiative of building bridges to establish peaceful co-existence of mankind, the 68th Annual Sant Nirankari Samagam began here today with a Message to Mankind by his His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. He said that this world does not require the walls of hatred but bridges of love.

The three-day Samagam is being attended by lakhs of devotes of the Sant Nirankari Mission and other God-loving people from all over the country. More than 4000 delegates have come from abroad.

His Holiness said that we have gathered here with the aim of creating brotherhood in the world, to beautify our surroundings. You are contributing towards this purpose every day of your life, but when you assemble in such a large number at Samagam, you bring together various cultures and societies from across the world. This is an example by itself that the world can follow.

If we understand this concept, we will be able to bring down so many walls that we have created – the walls of geographical, social and other differences, the walls of religion, caste, culture and creed. If we are able to bring down these walls, we can reach our purpose.

Baba Ji further added that there will be no chaos, no blood-shed, no crime if the world is without walls. In the real case scenario, intolerance has crept into our minds and hearts and is acting like a poison. Diversity is a symbol of beauty. It need not, therefore, be disturbed. What we need is unity in diversity.

Referring to the Samagam, Baba Ji said that it is becoming larger and larger year after year. Devotees come here to strengthen their devotion to God and the spirit of brotherhood. Baba Ji, referring to Children’s day on 14th November, said that children do not understand the diversities of caste, colour and religion; and if we, elders, are also able to achieve that, we shall certainly achieve success in creating a world without walls, which will be full of love, compassion and tolerance.

Earlier, on arrival at the venue, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and his gracious spouse Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji were welcomed with garlands of flowers by the office bearers of the Central Planning and Advisory Board and the Executive Committee of the Sant Nirankari Mandal which is also acting as Samagam Committee. Thereafter, the divine couple stood on a flower-bedecked open vehicle while thousands of devotees led them up to the dais.
