NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri College signed an International Memorandum of Agreement with the University Of North Alabama (UNA), USA. Under this agreement, the students will get an opportunity to take their summer training and short term programs in USA. Each summer course could be completed in one month either June or July or in the both months too.
The students can choose any of the fields like Computer Information System, Marketing, Management, Nutrition, Exercise Leadership, Health Promotion, Sports Management, Communication, International Relations, and Technical Writing etc. Besides this, both the organizations, the UNA and CGC Jhanjeri will explore other international cooperation and initiatives including joint conference workshops of mutual interest to further enhance educational excellence and opportunities at both the institutions.
Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that now the students would get an opportunity to have an international exposure even during their summer vacations. He further informed that many Jhanjeri students have already carried out their studies abroad and even some of the students of other countries are pursuing their studies in CGC. He further added that after successful training, students will be awarded Global Studies Certificates of Summer Training in USA. Another main advantage of this agreement is students will get scholarship of 500 US dollars per semester.
