NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri organized skill development workshop on .NET. The keynote speaker in the workshop was Expert Amit from Ducat, Noida. He explained that .NET Framework is a technology that supports building and running the next generation of applications and XML Web services. The .NET Framework is designed to provide a consistent object-oriented programming environment whether object code is stored and executed locally, executed locally but Internet-distributed, or executed remotely.  According to him .NET provides a code-execution environment that minimizes software deployment and versioning conflicts.

Speaking on the occasion Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC said that The main aim to organized  the Workshop was to make students aware of  widely varying types of applications, such as Windows-based applications and Web-based applications. He further added that  CGC follows a teaching methodology by which, the students gain not only the theoretical knowledge but also the practical applications of what they study .According to him with such interactions the students get an opportunity of developing skills to make practical use of their knowledge.
