NewZNew (Panchkula) : Doon Public School, Sector-21, Panchkula organized Rachna Agarwal Kala Sangam Inter School Group Song Competition to commemorate the memory of Late Rachna Agarwal daughter of Brig & Mrs M K Agarwal.
Ten teams from across the Panchkula District participated and rendered soulful and melodious patriotic songs; that left the audience spellbound.
Brig. & Mrs. M.K. Agarwal hosted the event, wherein Mrs. Suchitra Mitra closely associated with Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, was the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour were Mrs. Sunaini Guleria Sharma and Mrs. Betty Nangia, who also did the honours of judging the event and later on gave away the trophies to the winning and runners up Team.
Blue Bird High School, Sec-16, Panchkula attained the first position. The runner-up was the team from St. Soldier School, Sec-16, Panchkula. All the teams were also awarded Certificate of Participation.
“The competition was a tribute to a very talented girl Rachna Agarwal who was snatched from us by Cancer at a very young age. We plan to make this contest a regular affair every year.” Said Capt Sanjay Anand, SM, Principal, Doon Public School.
