NewZNew (Panchkula) : Master Chef Shareef from the ITC Maratha, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Mumbai, is in our city to showcase his unique culinary skills and take the diners on a journey sampling some of the best Royal Awadhi cuisine.

For Chef Shareef, passion for the culinary art is what he has inherited from his ancestors. Having apprenticed under some of the best-known Indian master chefs he has become an artist who cooks with his heart with a passion that is enviable.

Chef Shareef began his journey honing his skills in the kitchens at Daawats in Lucknow and high profile wedding caterings in Delhi. From there he got an opportunity to join the flagship hotel of the ITC Hotels group, the ITC Maurya, New Delhi, where food was still being cooked with the finest blend of hand pounded spices. He proudly carries forward that legacy.

New challenges brought Chef Shareef to Mumbai, where he was asked to be a part of the opening team of DumPukht, one of the finest Indian restaurants of the ITC Hotels group, at the ITC Maratha, Mumbai. It is because of his unwavering commitment to quality, that DumPukht is considered one of the best Indian restaurants in Mumbai. It was under his tutelage that DumPukht was awarded the Best North Indian Restaurant by The Times Food Guide for the past 9 years in succession.

Masterchef Shareef is in our city and will be featured exclusively at the WelcomHotel Bella Vista from 10 to 14 December, 2014.

The cuisine promotion will feature a special set menu on 10 & 11 December and on the weekend from 12 to 14 December there will be a special Awadhi dinner buffet at the Serenade Pavilion.

Signature dishes being showcased at the promotion include starters like Murgh Chandi Tikka, Galouti Kabab, Khumb Khasta Seekh and Dudhiya Kabab. For main course there are specialities like Mahi Qaliya, Gosht ki Nehari, Qasar-e-Pukhtan and Guncha wa keema. For Dessert lovers, there are delectable favourites like Kulfi Badshah Pasand, Shahi Tukra and Gulab ki Kheer.
