GJIMT Organised Orientation Programme For Students

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Phase 2, Mohali organized an orientation programme for the young & budding professionals of the new batch of MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA at its campus today. During the orientation programme, the new comers were apprised about the Institute’s profile, infrastructure, faculty and the exciting world of Management and Computer Applications.

While welcoming the students J S Bedi, Chairman, GJIMT said that the function of education is the formation of social personalities. Quoting Martin Luther King, he said that intelligence and character is the goal of true education. He emphasized the importance of positive attitude, dedication, commitment and discipline, and exhorted the students to keep their aim high to achieve the chosen positive goal of life. Dr. Aggarwal also stressed on the need on updating of knowledge by making use of the well-furnished library of the institute and the excellent Internet facility.

Dr. Aneet Bedi Director, GJIMT also addressed the students and said that the institute offers a right blend of traditional and modern cultural, academic and professional opportunities for overall development of its students. She expressed confidence that holistic education at GJIMT will turn their lives into right direction. Dr. Aneet also spoke on the importance of work ethics and gave tips to new batch of students on how to maintain work-life balance.

In keeping with spirit of an induction process, the students were put through a game of treasure hunt. Students were handed over a kit comprising Charts and Color Pens. They were made to follow the hints to find clues regarding words to make a slogan on the chart. The winners were facilitated.
