In a major relief to the urban slum dwellers, Centre has approved construction of 1.5 lakh houses for urban poor under PMAY with an investment of 27,227 cr.

It has sanctioned 56,512 houses for AP, 23,060 for UP, 17,920 for MP 14,526 for Jharkhand & 13,506 for Maharashtra Cgarh,Rajasthan, Odisha Odisha, Punjab& Assam will also get houses.
