NewZNew (Zirakpur) : Artistes from countries like UK, Italy and from across the length & breadth of India, will take the tricity by storm in the 3^rd Season of International Salsa Festival(ISF) being organized from 25^th to 27^th September, by Club Salsa International. The festival will be held at Hotel Best Western Almeida Premier in Zirakpur. The details of the festival were shared by organisers and participating International & National Artistes at a press meet.

The Festival is being organized by Varun & Anchit, who run Urban School of Dance in Chandigarh. The Co Organiser is Ankush Sharma.  “There will be an opening party on 25^th and the Festival will see workshops by Experts held on 26^th from 9 in the morning till 5 PM and then a pool party will be held. On 27^th workshops will continue to be held till 5 PM followed by a Technical Rehearsal at 6:30 PM and the Grand Showcase will be conducted at 8 PM. The Festival will conclude with a closing party from 9:30 PM onwards.” Said Varun.

“Though it’s a Salsa Festival but there will be workshops in many dance forms. The Festival will witness training capsules by established experts in different dance genres. Pachanga, Bachata, Kizomba, Bollywood, contemporary, belly Dance & also Bhangra will be taught. There are some very interesting dance forms for which experts will train enthusiasts; some that come to mind are Lyrical Jazz, Afro Cuban and even Kathak.” Said Anchit.

Natalie Watterson who is based in London with a group called ‘Bachata Spice’ & promotes Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Burlesque and many more styles will hold workshops in Bachata, Ladies Styling and Ladies Shine. “I have been coming to ISF Chandigarh for all 3 seasons and i will be focusing particularly on Bachata which is my dance form of interest & expertise.” “It’s good to be part of ISF, which has made a mark not just in India but Globally as well. I will be holding workshops in Salsa and Kizomba. The latter is now a mission for me as I am trying to promote it in India through my organization Kizomba India.” Said Kaytee from Italy.

There will be well known Salsa Experts, Choreographers and Instructors taking part in the Salsa Extravaganza. Prominent among these are Elvis Mascarehnas from Mumbai, a hip hop salsa dancer who has proved himself at the world stage when he bagged 5^th position in world hip hop championships. Deepthi Shetty from Bengaluru is a belly dance and contemporary specialist ,Yavit Singh from the capital is an amazing artist who has been to some of the biggest dance festivals in the world representing India. Ameya Hemmady from Mumbai is a jazz and contemporary dancer from Terence Lewis Dance Academy & has trained many professional dance teams to perform and achieve levels of specialisation for both contemporary and lyrical jazz.

In the three day International Salsa Festival dancers will be taken through the different nuances of Salsa and other genres & their hard work will be showcased in the Grand Finale to be held on 27^th. It certainly will be three days of fun and enjoyment at the International Salsa Festival.
