DEPARTMENT HAD ALSO WRITTEN TO POLICE RECOMMENDING ACTION AGAINST GUILTY
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The Punjab Government has strongly reacted to the statements made in the media regarding not taking any action against the guilty in the matter of financial irregularities committed by former DEO Gurdaspur in the purchase of uniforms. A spokesperson of the Education Department today said that such statements are misleading and baseless.
He clarified that the Education Department after taking a serious note of the case had dismissed former DEO Gurdaspur Shindo Sahni and two other employees APC (General) Pawan Mahajan and APC (Finance) Vikram Aggarwal. The spokesperson further said that orders were also given to the Vigilance Bureau and SSP to register a case and take further action according to law. He said that the Education Department will take this case to its logical end and any person found guilty would not be spared at any cost.
He said that in the same case disciplinary proceedings were initiated against other employees of the DEO office, Clerk Narinder Kumar, DPC Sarb Sikhsha Abhiyan Munshi Ram, DRP Ram Lubhaya, former gender coordinator Dalbir Singh and Gender Coordinator Raj Kumar.
