NSE is the only prize winner ever in BFSI segment
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : India’s largest stock exchange National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.’s (NSE) has become the first corporate to win esteemed CII-Exim Bank Award for Business Excellence Prize for the second time in the BFSI segment. This is the most prestigious award that an Indian company could receive for overall business excellence for benchmarking the best practices. CII-Exim Bank Award for Business Excellence Prize was conferred upon NSE during 24th CII National Quality Summit held at Bengaluru on 23 November 2016.
Ms. Chitra Ramkrishna, MD & CEO, NSE said, “This award is not only a recognition for NSE but also for the entire Indian capital market, which has grown multiple times since NSE’s inception. We are happy that CII has recognised NSE’s renewed thrust for excellence in all fields”.
The CII-Exim Bank award is modelled on the European Foundation for Quality Management’s Award for Business Excellence. A company can win prize only after rigorous assessment conducted by various CII teams over a period of time. The company must demonstrate excellence in performance with respect to all its stakeholders – employees, customers, society and shareholders, through excellence in processes and people. The prize acknowledges NSE’s excellence in the areas of leadership, strategy, people, customer driven processes, partnerships, policy and creating a social & stakeholder value. CII and Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of India jointly established the Award for Business Excellence in 1994 with the aim to enhance the `Competitiveness of India Inc.’
