NewZNew (Chandigarh – Bawneet Kaushal) : A unique professional workshop ‘Taraash” featuring 5 experts from Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Chandigarh for media aspirants concludes on a positive note.
As part of its ongoing mission of bringing the best of the media world to Chandigarh, Positive I’s initiative of first of its kind- five day workshop `Taraash’ to impart the insights of today’s media industry to budding media enthusiasts and aspirants concluded at Psychopedia, YMCA, Sector 11, Chandigarh.
Organiser of Taraash, Ms Sulakshna Bramta said that through this workshop the young media enthusiasts of the city honed their skills with the techniques imparted by the experts from across the country. The trainers included renowned anchor, actor and singer- Satinder Satti, Creative Head and Copywriter- Rediffusion Y&R Pramod Sharma, Mumbai, renowned correspondent, curator and journalist- Vasanthi Hariprakash, Bangalore, RJ Prateek Sharma, Delhi and Sulakshna Bramta Bramta who is herself a media professional, anchor, presenter, News reader and former RJ, with her last stint being a Regional Programming Head with a renowned Private radio station and Spark Punjabi channel.
In a city which is yet to embrace the culture of professional workshop to widen the horizon of the budding artists in any stream, make them job ready, give them a deep insight on the contemporary scenario where they want to explore job options; convincing youngsters was a tough task.
As per Sulakshna Bramta, ‘ It is sad that a student and parents are eager to spend or give money for buying new gadgets or on lavish things but not ready for a professional workshop as they have either never been to one, or are unhappy because of their past experiences. But with this one, the word of mouth and happy students will say it all.‘
Taraash has witnessed14 selected selected media aspirants who are serious and passionate about learning, gaining from the experiences being shared by people who have made it big in the sector. It was a task, interaction and knowledge enhancement based workshop that will also focus on digital media as a platform to showcase talent apart from popular media. All the attendees were given certificates after the completion of the 5 day workshop.
