NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : To facilitate the residents of S A S Nagar, proper drainage arrangement & disposal plan for rain water should be prepared so that the problem of rain water could be resolved completely. This was directed by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu while he was conducting a meeting with Municipal Commissioner & officials of GMADA, Water Supply & Sanitation, Drains, at district administrative complex.
During this, Mr. Sidhu formed a committee of technical officials including officers of the Executive Engineer level and Assistant Commissioner (General) Smt. Avneet Kaur was deputed as a Nodal Officer for the committee thus formed. These officials will conduct site visit for the areas affected with rain water & will prepare detailed plan along with suggestion for disposal of rain water from these areas. He directed the officials concerned to analyse the situation up to their expertise & provide economical viable solution for the same.
Worth mentioning at here that recently rain water was entered in some of the houses. At that time Deputy Commissioner visited the actual ground position & noticed the demand for proper drainage arrangement. Explaining about the actual position as noticed by Deputy Commissioner, he directed to prepare a plan for this problem at the earliest. During the meeting Councillor Parwinder Singh Sohana, Sr Surinder Singh & Executive Engineer Water Supply & Sanitation Sh. Anil Kumar, Sh. NS Kalsi, Sh. Dharampal, Sh. Baldev Singh, Sh. Sanjeev Gupta, Sanjay Kapla, Anil Kumar & other officers of GMADA & Municipal Corporation were present.
