NewzNew– The two day orientation programme for the councilors of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh organized by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini today ended with valedictory session.

The morning session was started with the lecture of Sh. Alok Shiromany on understanding Municipal Financial management (Budget) at 10.30 a.m. Second session on solid waste management and Swachh Bharat was conducted by Dr. Shiny Abraham, Sh. Manoj Kumar Teotia conducted next session on National urban livelihood mission.

After noon sessions were started at 3.00 pm with the lecture of Dr. Hitesh Bajpai on public conduct of an elected representative and Ms. Gauri Maulekhi conducted the session on issues related to stray dogs and animals.

Mrs. Asha Jaswal, Mayor of Chandigarh extended vote of thanks to all the participating councilors and the organizers of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini. Earlier, the Mayor and Commissioner Sh. B. Purushartha, IAS alongwith office bearers from Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini distributed certificates to all the participating councilors for two day orientation programme.
