NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Unity and Oneness is the most cherished need of the day not only in our own country but all over the world. While the world finds a beautiful environment based on love, peace and cooperation, the county strengthens its unity and integrity.
While addressing congregation at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector 30-A, Chandigarh Sh. Mohinder Singh ji Sanyojak said that It was observed in Delhi by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj while flagging off a peace walk called ‘Run for Oneness’ organized by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. Thousands of devotees of the Mission aged 16 and above donning a white T-shirt and blue cap marked ‘Run for Oneness’ participated. They started from National Stadium and returned to the same place after covering about 9 kms. up to Cannaught Place. Baba Ji’s gracious spouse Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji was one of the leading participants. Many of them came from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi also.
Baba Ji said that the Sant Nirankari Mission is endeavouring to take this message of Oneness of mankind based on Oneness of the Supreme Father God, through various means, the Run for Oneness being one of them. The first Run for Oneness was organized under the auspices of the Foundation in Baroda in Gujarat during April last year. This is the second time in India and first time in Delhi that such an event is being organized again.
Baba Ji said that the Mission is having its 67th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam in Delhi on November 15, 16 and 17 where the theme is ‘Harmony in Oneness’. The idea is that the world must remain united so that there is peace and prosperity everywhere.
Earlier, the Chief Guest on the day, Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh said that ordinarily no organization could have brought so many people, particularly the youth together at one place even after spending crores of rupees. But here it has been possible because of the spiritual inspiration being provided by His Holiness Baba
Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. He recalled the supreme sacrifice made by Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and said that whenever the country was overtaken by the negative tendencies of discrimination, hatred and violence, it was only the forces of religion, culture and spirituality that salvaged it and established an atmosphere of love, service and sacrifice.
The Hon’ble Minister said that history reveals that whenever the world needed love and unity, the message went from the sacred land of India. Today Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj also wants that India should become an example of greatness for the world and find prosperity through spiritual awakening and science as well. Shri Rajnath Singh congratulated the participants and called upon them to take Baba Ji’s message of love and unity to every nook and corner of the world. He said that even Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the call for unity and integrity of the country.
As the Run for Oneness concluded, His Holiness gave away certificates to the leading participants even though the Run for Oneness was not a competitive event. Blessing the participants, he said that it was a matter of delight that even some physically looking weak were able to complete the walk. The same enthusiasm is being seen in the spiritual field. Many saints are spreading the message of Truth despite various disabilities. The Mission’s message of Oneness, he said, is universal because it is based on Universal Truth i.e. One Formless God who is also the Supreme Source of divine virtues or human values. He congratulated the young boys and girls in particular and said that it will go a long way to beautify their lives with human values.
Sunita Godara, well-known Indian Marathon Champion of Asia graced the occasion and remained a source of encouragement for the participants.
