Although India has just stepped into the era of 4G internet, smartphones makers are looking way ahead into future by planning 5G-enabled handsets.
Asus, HMD Global, LG and Xiaomi will use Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem suite from Qualcomm to power their smartphones with 5G capability, which will hit the markets in 2019.
Ericsson, meanwhile, is set to launch 5G services by Q4 of 2018.
