Logo_dominos_pizzaNewZNew (Chandigarh) :  Domino’s Pizza, India’s Pizza Delivery Expert and market leader in the chained pizza segment today inaugurated its 1000th restaurant at Unity One Mall, Janakpuri, New Delhi. The landmark restaurant was inaugurated by Mr. Richard R. Verma, Unites States Ambassador to India, Mr. Shyam S. Bhartia, Chairman, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited and Mr. Steve Pizziol, Vice President – International, Asia Pacific in presence of Mr. Stanley J. Gage, Executive Vice President, Domino’s Pizza, Team USA, Mr. Hari S. Bhartia, Co-Chairman and Mr. Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited. With the objective of democratizing the pizza experience in the country and growing the pizza market in India, Domino’s Pizza has aggressively strengthened its presence in tier II and tier III cities in the past few years. Over the years, Domino’s Pizza has rolled out innovative products and campaigns to make pizzas an essential part of the lives of Indians. The brand has also made strategic investments towards strengthening the supply chain, bolstering the technology infrastructure and creating a network of motivated employees to ensure that consumers get the best quality and the most hygienic products that they love.

Today, the Brand (Domino’s Pizza) is present in 227 cities in India and continues to be market leader in the chained pizza market with a 72% market share (as per Euro Monitor Consumer Food Service Report). Having crossed the milestone of 1000 restaurants, the Jubilant FoodWorks team is focused on further catalysing the expansion process to make Domino’s Pizza the most loved brand in the country.

Mr. Shyam S. Bhartia, Chairman and Mr. Hari S. Bhartia, Co-Chairman, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, commented,“The opening of the 1000th restaurant is a landmark moment for all of us and we are extremely happy to be expanding and reaching closer to the consumers in India. When we first brought the brand to the country, almost two decades back, there was no Pizza culture in the country. A lot has changed in the past twenty years, except the undying resolve of the ever-growing Jubilant FoodWorks family that is committed to offer an enhanced experience to the customers each time they interact with them. We would like to thank all our loyal customers, whose love and loyalty for the brand has been our constant motivation in this successful journey.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. J. Patrick Doyle, President and CEO, Domino’s Pizza, said, “India is a key market for Domino’s Pizza and having reached the milestone of 1000 restaurants is a remarkable achievement by the Domino’s team in India. I would like to congratulate the Bhartias on building a successful business that has not only grown at an incredible pace but has also helped grow the ecosystem around it. Domino’s Pizza has a vast global presence spanning across over 80 countries and the India operations have emerged as our largest single country operations outside of the US. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the short span of time within which the India team has accomplished so much. The growth story of Domino’s India is truly a benchmark for all of us and I wish them all the best for the future.”

Adding to this, Mr. Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, said, “Today is a very special day for us in more ways than one. While many will interpret the milestone of 1000 restaurants as a business success for Domino’s Pizza India, for me this is an acknowledgement of the hard-work and honest efforts by the employees and a reflection of the consumers’ love and affection for the brand. Our goal is to make Domino’s Pizza a part of the everyday lives of Indians and each new restaurant opened in the country assures us that we are on the right path.”

“I would like to reiterate our gratitude towards all the Domino’s Pizza fans who have loved us over the years as this journey would not have been possible without them. We stay committed to offering them the best experience possible, and giving them newer reasons to connect with their friends and family over a Domino’s pizza. With this in mind, we have launched “Happy Hours “(11am-5pm), our way of saying Thank You to the millions of consumers who love the brand.”
