NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Mayor of Chandigarh today attended a workshop on “Fuel efficiency in transport section”, organized by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, PCRA and Ministry of Road Transport & Highway (MORTH).
While addressing the gathering, Mayor thanked PCRA and MORTH for spreading awareness about conservation which is the need of the day. She insisted on use of public transport by all so that every citizen can ensure a safe, secure and comfortable tomorrow for their future generations. The Mayor also emphasized on bringing discipline and following certain rules of domestic LPG safety.
The workshop was attended by officers of PCRA Mr. S.N. Singh, Mr. B.K. Jha and representatives of Chandigarh Traffic Police, CTU, RTO, PRTC, Haryana Roadways, Punjab Roadways, Ambulance 108, Fire & Emergency Department, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
