Taking forward the legacy of 60 years Gopal Sweets Launch 12th Restaurant in Mohali: In this era of health conscious and penny pitching foodies, it is not easy to live up to expectations.

Moreover, in a country like India where diversity is welcomed from across the world, western food has successfully carved a niche among food lovers. However, there are a few dedicated Indian restaurants that leave no stone unturned to preserve the spices of Indian kitchen. Gopal’s Sweets is one of them!

Started as a small ‘Halwai Ki Dukaan’ in 1958 by Hari Gopal Singh, the brand today caters to all the desi food lovers across region. And, yet another milestone is achieved as Gopal’s launched its 12th restaurant in Sector 70, Mohali and the legacy of six decades continues to shine.

The restaurant was inaugurated by Lal Singh, Chairman Mani Board and Former Cabinet Minister, Punjab. Singh, who has inaugurates all the restaurants of Gopal’s, about his bond with the brand, said, “I have faith whatever their team serves to people, they put their heart and soul while preparing it in the kitchen.” About what he likes most when it comes to food, Singh said, “I think for me the time when I could eat anything or everything is gone. I am more of a home-cooked food person. But, I completely understand the joy of going out and dining with family and friends.”

Meanwhile, taking about their legacy of spreading sweetness for 60 years now, Sharanjit Singh, the owner of Gopal’s Sweets, said, “My father started Gopal’s as a very small sweet shop in Patiala in 1958. He used to love making sweets and it was his hardwork and efforts, which has today become a much loved brand.”

Sharanjit said that it is not easy to take the responsibility when it comes to a a food business.

“And that’s the reason that our entire family is committed to do the best and serve the best food on table,” added Sharanjit.

Indian cricketer Gurkeerat Singh Maan also came to attend the launch and said that no matter where he is, eating laddoos is something that he can never resist from.

“That’s my cheat meal you can say! And, when it comes to laddoos, I think I enjoy cheating,” he laughed and signed off.
