The salient feature of this Carnival is that the School Management has decided to donate all the proceeds of this Carnival to the Chennai Relief Fund. Mount Carmel School Carnival is an annual feature in the School Calendar and this is organized to inculcate amongst the students a sense of social responsibility and it also provides a great learning to the students in many ways as they man their stalls, manage the stage and performances etc. Every year a part of the proceeds goes towards a social cause. Keeping all this in mind we are coming up with a new Branch School at Chatt, Zirakpur, Punjab and the session in this School will commence for Classes Pre-Nursery to VII from April 2016. This School will also have facilities for Equestrian events, Archery, Shooting, Roller skating besides other regular sports and games.

The ethos and the culture of Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, would be continued at Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur where the students would learn to become socially responsible citizens of this great country. Due to the proximity to the Zoo, the students and teachers of this School would be encouraged to adopt / sponsor some animals of the Chatbir Zoo. This would definitely help them to learn how to take care of animals, to love them and to protect them. We are also planning a Marathon in the vicinity of this School at Zirakpur towards the middle of February. One of the themes of this Marathon would be to spread awareness amongst the public to care for and protect animals.
