Amidst the ongoing drive against anti social elements and criminals, SAS Nagar Police arrested three accused involved in multiple two-wheelers theft cases and recovered six stolen motorcycles, said Sh Harmandeep Hans, SSP SAS Nagar.
The arrested trio accused have been identified as Shubam Singh r/o Haripur Kurha, Dera Bassi, Gurjeet Singh alias Laadi r/o Gujju Kherha, Banur and Jatinder Kumar r/o Bala Ram Colony, Mubarikpur

Divulging the details, the SSP Hans said that theft of several two-wheelers had recently been reported at police station Dera Bassi. “A dedicated team from Dera Bassi Police Station analysed numerous CCTV footages and identified Shubam as a suspect. Acting on a tip off, the team headed by SHO Dera Bassi, Inspector Sumit Mor arrested two accused Shubam and Laadi from Mubarikpur, Dera Bassi alongwith recovery of three stolen motorcycles” said the SSP while adding that during the preliminary interrogation, accused Shubam revealed involvement of the third accused Jatinder. “Based on information, the team apprehended Jatinder and recovered three more stolen motorcycles from him” the SSP stated.

The SSP further said that the trio has a criminal past and they have been arrested in FIR no 151, dated 29.05.2025 u/s 303(2), 317(2) BNS registered at PS Dera Bassi. Further investigation is underway, added SSP.
