The campaign ‘War on Drugs’ being run by the Punjab government is continuing with a series of drug de-addiction meetings in villages and cities.
Under this, MLA S. Labh Singh Ugoke addressed the gatherings in villages Ugoke and Tapa and administered the oath against drugs to the attendees. On this occasion, he said that this campaign being run by the Punjab government is being fully supported by the people. He said that it is our social responsibility to eradicate drugs by providing more support in this campaign.

He said that this ‘Nasha Mukti Yatra’ is not a political journey, but a social concept of eradicating drugs. He said that every section of the society, panchayat, parents should join this movement so that the demon of drugs can be defeated.

He said that the fight to make Punjab drug free has started from village to village, under which every villager will become the watchman of his village. He said that drug smugglers will not get any political patronage nor will anyone give them bail. He asked the administration officials to take strict action against those involved in drug dealing. Officers, employees and dignitaries from various departments were present on the occasion.
