GCCBA Celebrated Vigilance Awareness Week 2026: The Vigilance Cell of GCCBA, in collaboration with the NSS units, observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 26 October to 2 November 2026 under the national theme, “Integrity for Prosperity.”
The objective was to promote awareness among students and staff about honesty, transparency, accountability, and corruption. On 26 October, 350 students took the online Integrity Pledge. On 27 October, Principal Dr. Sangam Kapoor administered the physical pledge to 80 teaching and non-teaching staff members, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to ethical conduct.
On 28 October, Inspector Ajay from Police Station Sector 9, Chandigarh (U.T.), delivered an interactive lecture on the importance of vigilance, ethical behaviour, and transparency in public life. This was followed by a poster-making competition on 29 October and a slogan-writing competition on 30 October, which received 15 and 12 entries respectively.
These competitions provided students with a platform to express their views on honesty, integrity, and the fight against corruption.
On 31 October, an awareness campaign was conducted in selected market areas and residential localities of Mohali and Chandigarh. Volunteers, divided into six groups, urged shopkeepers, traders, and citizens to avoid unethical business practices and adopt fair and transparent transactions.
The rally was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Sangam Kapoor, Vigilance Officer Ms. Vandana Jain, Dr. Yogesh, NSS Programme Officer Dr. Aanchal Malik, and NSS Advisor Dr. Renuka Mehra. On 1 November, an online quiz was organized to test and enhance understanding of vigilance-related themes.
Through these initiatives, GCCBA aims to foster a culture of honesty, transparency, and accountability, so that students become responsible citizens who uphold ethical values in every sphere of life. These activities of the college are in line with the Central Vigilance Commission’s objective of emphasizing public awareness and outreach for integrity in governance.
