NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Air India held a “Lucky Dip”during the occasion of 13th National Steam Congress in New Delhi on Sunday dated 22-11-2015. Mr. Hemant Kumar, Member, Mechanical Indian Railways-Railway Board, announced the winner of the contest.
Mr. Vikas Singh,winner of the contest, is a member of Indian Steam Railway Society and also a rail philatelist, received the award on board the train 150 UP Steam Express, hauled by steam locomotive No. WP7191, bound for Rewari from Delhi Cant. as a part of the Rewari Heritage Steam shed visit. Taking the initiative in being a part of the promotion of steam engines, Air Indiaoffered Return Air ticket for any destination within India and was applicable only for passengers having return full fare ticket for Delhi Cant and Rewari.
National Steam Congress is the annual event of the Indian Steam Railway Society and is organized in partnership with Delhi Tourism. Mr. Ashwani Lohani, CMD, Air India is also the working president of the society.
