2. Ann Lee (TBA)

In Mona Fastvold’s historical musical drama “Ann Lee,” also known as “The Testament of Ann Lee,” Amanda Seyfried will play the title role. Inspired by actual events, the film is based on the life of religious leader Ann Lee, the founder of the Shaker Movement, whom her followers referred to as the female Christ. Brady Corbet and Fastvold wrote the screenplay. 3. The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd (TBA)

In Nelson’s prison-break thriller drama “The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd,” Seyfried will co-star with Wunmi Mosaku, Tim Blake Nelson, Scoot McNairy, Missi Pyle, and William Jackson Harper. Nelson wrote the story, which centers on a teacher in an abusive marriage who accepts a position at a maximum security prison and develops feelings for a charming inmate. Megan Stalter, Liza Koshy, Ariana DeBose, and Chloe Fineman co-star with Seyfried.
