NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Ashmah International School, Mohali sector 70 observed climate Change awareness week at its campus. During this week students were made aware about effects of climate change on human & plants. Importance of plants & how to protect mother earth for climate change topics also discussed during this period. Speeches were also given by the students to save environment.
Students highlighted the importance of planting saplings and the disadvantages of cutting trees in their speeches. After that to turn their ideas into reality students also planted saplings in the school campus. Oath was also taken by students to keep the school campus clean and to plant more and more trees. Later, to aware residents a rally while carrying message to save mother earth was also conducted by the students.
Principal Monica Mann spoke about the beauties of the bountiful earth and how human beings were exploiting it. In order to sensitize the children, she urged them to take initiatives to clean the environment and adopt eco-friendly practices. To mark the occasion, she also administered an environmental pledge to the children asking them to do a green act every day and make the earth a beautiful place to live in. Director of the school, J.S. Kesar appreciated the efforts of the staff and students.
