NewZNew (Chandigarh – Kulbir Singh Kalsi) : Army Welfare Housing Organisation (AWHO) has been functioning on ‘No Profit No Loss’ basis. AWHO has given HOMES to those fighting and serving in insurgency infested areas, inhospitable and inaccessible terrain. Time is a scarce commodity for the serving soldiers and often their own welfare/personal affairs take a back seat due military exigencies of service. AWHO remains dedicated in its mission to provide structurally sound, economically viable and functionally efficient dwelling units (DUs) to the desirous serving/retired members of the Army and their widows on ‘NO PROFIT- NO LOSS’ basis in the selected popular stations. Endeavour of AWHO has always been to deliver good quality construction with environment friendly ambiance to its allottees.

SP Singh Project Director Residential Complex Sector 114, Mohali jointly addressing the media persons during the press conference regarding nearly completion of AWHO Residential Project, Sector 114, S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) on 04 Dec 2014 (Thursday) said AWHO plans Holistic projects as Mini Townships with central amenities such as shopping complex, club, swimming pool, sports facility, CSD and adequate green area with covered parking and dedicated Electricity & water supply, all inclusive within the fixed cost. AWHO is conscious of its charter of providing affordable housing with an emphasis on quality “Finished End Product”.
Till date approx 30,000 Dwelling Units have been constructed for all ranks. It also constructs approx 1000 Dwelling Units per year especially for ranks below officer level. At present AWHO is developing projects in 25 locations across the length and breadth of India. Furthermore, Demand Surveys are being undertaken at seven locations for future developmental Projects.
AWHO Project Sector 114 Mohali (HARBHAJAN VIHAR) :
