NewZNew (New Delhi) : The fourth day of Indian Film Festival of Russia (IFFR) 2015 ended last night with glamour and celebrating theme of “100 years of Indian Cinema” through a spectacular fashion show and honouring the best of Indian cinema Down Under.
The gala event took place at the Formula Kino Gorizont and Indian Cultural Centre KSRK, Russia attended by several luminaries and high profile dignitaries including Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of India to Russian Federation, Ms.Anjali Pandey,Indian Film Actor and Singer Ayushmann Khurrana, ,Dr.Sarfaraz Alam Director of Indian Film Festival Russia (IFFR), Mr.Rc Dalal,Executive Director of JD Institute of Fashion Technology and Captain Rahul Bali,MD of Innivations India.
The four day film festival started from 3rd September and ended on 6th September with an aim of bridging the gap between the two entertainment industries in the world – Russia and India.
Indian cinema is known for songs, dance and bright colours but changes are being made to the iconic brand of cinema and they were on display at this year’s Indian Fim Festival of Russia.
Snighda Khanor,student of JD Institute of Fashion technology presented Indian Fashion in Russia while displaying her imagination in her designs on the theme “ 100 years of Indian Cinema.’
Talented Actor and Singer Ayushmann Khurrana mesmerized the audience singing his popular song “Pani Da Rang” from his movie Vicky Donor and later on clicked selfie with his fans.
The festival got tremendous support from Russian Film Fraternity with Russian Actor and Singer Dima Bilan and Russian Actress Sati Kazanova entertained the people singing popular songs of Bollywood.
Indian Film Festival Worldwide (IFFW)organized the whole film festival which gave independent film artists of India a platform for sharing their work and creating a dialogue with the community.
The festival showcased a blockbuster of bollywood movies including Piku,Vicky Donor,Madras Café,Dil Dhadakne Do,Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Haider.Director in Focus was Shoojit Sarcar who has directed films like Piku,Madras Café and Vicky Donor.
The festival featured live music and dance performances in which Russian dancers performed on Indian classical music.
Indian Film Festival Russia (IFFR) is devoted to a greater appreciation of Indian cinema and culture by showcasing films, supporting emerging filmmakers, recognizing the leadership of entertainment industry performers, business executives, and promoting the diverse perspectives of the Indian diaspora.
