CEMCA-IGNOU to organize Capacity Building Workshop of Open Universities on Graduate Employability and Skills-Based Education: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the Commonwealth of Learning’s Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) are jointly organizing a three-day Workshop for all Open Universities of the country, from June 4 to 6, 2025, at IGNOU Headquarters New Delhi.
The Vice Chancellor of IGNOU, Prof. Uma Kanjilal informed that the workshop will be attended by the Vice Chancellors and eminent academicians of the Open Universities.
The objectives of the workshop are to provide participants with a clear and comprehensive understanding of the Graduate Employability; develop Qualification Packs, and ensure alignment of skill-based courses with National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
The expected outcome is to bolster employability initiatives within Open Universities and significantly contribute to preparing a future-ready workforce. This workshop will represent an important step in the ongoing collective efforts to strengthen employability initiatives within the open universities.
