Chandigarh’s beloved Dum Noorani records ~5x growth in yearly order volumes with support from Zomato platform; expands to 8 outlets across North India: Dum Noorani, Chandigarh’s beloved restaurant known for its authentic royal Indian cuisine, witnessed a ~5X growth in its yearly order value ever since its onboarding on Zomato in 2019.

Speaking about the journey, Mannat Singh, Founder of Dum Noorani, said, “Dum Noorani began as a humble yet powerful belief  that royal Indian cuisine had to be served in its most authentic and truest form. Despite premium pricing, customers continue to resonate with the royal flavours served at our restaurant. With Zomato’s help, we have reached a wider customer base and continue to gain the confidence to scale.”

Since onboarding on Zomato, the brand has been able to:

  • Achieve ~5x growth in yearly order volumes, from nearly 12,000  orders in 2019 to over 55,000 orders in 2025
  • Optimized its menu strategy by introducing new formats such as Super saver meals, rolls, and party packs based on customer demand
  • Leveraged platform tools such as Brand Tile, advertisement services to improve visibility and showcase the preparation of signature dishes like Dum Biryani
  • Adopted strategic discount and campaign approach aligned with festivals and customer AOV trends to drive sustainable growth
  • Expanded its presence across multiple cities in North India, supported by data-driven insights into high-demand customer clusters and geographic whitespace opportunities

To help small restaurants scale quickly, Zomato has introduced several initiatives in recent years. These include a DIY onboarding tool that helps restaurants get listed on the platform in just 15 minutes and access to the Restaurant Services Hub, a curated marketplace of verified vendors offering licensing, staffing, and hygiene audit services.

In select cities, new restaurants also benefit from 0% commission for the first 30 days, along with credits for ads and Hyperpure services. As of Q3 FY26, Zomato has an average of 336,000 monthly active food ordering and delivery restaurant partners on the platform.
