British Capital Charlize Theron’s will soon host a prolific actress and a renowned director, who are teaming up together for the first time. The shooting of the Paramount+ limited political drama series ‘Cash’ will be done in London during spring 2026. David O. Russell will be the director of the show, thus marking his debut as a series director. Charlize Theron will be starring and is the sole announced cast member so far. Although the story remains a secret, ‘Cash’ will involve Russian oligarchs and the UK government.

Charlize Theron recently made a comeback as Andy in Netflix’s action film ‘The Old Guard 2.’ Prior to that, we have seen her as Cipher in ‘Fast X,’ Lady Lesso in ‘The School for Good and Evil,’ and Clea in the after-credits scene of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ On the small screen, we have seen her as herself in the Apple TV+ comedy series ‘The Studio.’ We will soon see her in Christopher Nolan’s sweeping drama ‘The Odyssey’ based on Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem. The movie also features Matt Damon, Jon Bernthal, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson
Goth, and Zendaya. She is also going to feature in Baltasar Kormákur’s action thriller ‘Apex,’ starring alongside Taron Egerton and Eric Bana. It will be available on Netflix. Renowned director David O. Russell’s recent work was ‘Amsterdam,’ a period comedy drama set in 1930s New York City, in which three friends stumble upon a murder. Some of his other directorial works include ‘Joy,’ an adaptation of the life of inventor and entrepreneur Joy Mangano, the crime drama ‘American Hustle,’ and the romantic comedy films ‘Accidental Love’ and ‘Silver Linings Playbook.’ His next is ‘Madden,’ a biographical sports drama film on the life of football legend John Madden. It features Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale. Future films to be filmed in London include ‘Deeper,’ with Tom Cruise and Ana De Armas, ‘The Duchess of Malfi,’ which stars Morfydd Clark, and ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,’ with Milly Alcock playing Supergirl.
