Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, while taking a significant step towards strengthening the state’s road infrastructure, directed officials to strengthen the inter-state roads on priority basis. He said that all roads entering Haryana must be in good condition to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel for commuters.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting to review the renovation and repair work of roads across the state. Sh Nayab Singh Saini instructed officials from the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of all road repair and development projects, asserting that any negligence in maintaining quality standards will not be tolerated.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of a mobile application being developed with the objective of making Haryana’s roads pothole-free. He directed that each department must ensure cent percent mapping of its roads and upload the data on the app at the earliest.
He further directed that the mobile app should be user-friendly so that the general public can easily access it. Through this app, citizens will be able to report damaged roads or potholes, enabling prompt action and improved road maintenance across the state.
Chief Secretary Sh Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Public Works Department Sh Anurag Agarwal, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Saket Kumar, Managing Director Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Sh Yash Garg and Chief Administrator of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board Sh Mukesh Kumar Ahuja were also present in the meeting.
