Elected with 3rd highest votes, Sharma is the only candidate from this zone to be elected to the regional council
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : A practicing Cost Accountant from Chandigarh, CMA Anil Sharma has been elected to Northern India Council of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) with 3rd highest votes. He is the only candidate elected from the states of J&K, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh to the regional council. He has also delivered many lectures and written articles on GST at national forum.
Earlier Sharma had been Secretary to Chandigarh-Panchkula Chapter for three years consecutively. After the appointment he said, “It has been a great pleasure to be elected for such responsibility. In our profession there is involved a hard work of many years and when you get such a position, you feel you’ve been rewarded for that hard work. Also if you work constantly with full determination and honesty, you become an example of inspiration for many new people in the profession. I get to meet many young Cost Accountants who get motivated meeting me and I feel fortunate to be of some help to them.”
Sharma also thanked all the voters who have given him a chance to serve the council. He remarked that only with the help of his colleagues and seniors he has been working successfully from the past many years. He also reiterated that every profession goes well on a give and take mechanism.
