NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Dikshant international school organized a ‘community meal’- Flavors of India for students of primary section. ‘Community meals’ in which people sit together and have food made in a common kitchen; is a valuable part of Indian culture. This was taught to students in a practical way. Students got cuisines from different states of India and even dressed up representing the state’s tradition. The menu included snacks and main course varieties from states all across the country. The purpose of the community meal was to help children understand and respect different cultures that exist in the country and help them appreciate the importance of sharing as well as enjoying meals together with their friends.
