Drug eradication campaign: People are being mobilized against drugs by reaching villages in the district: Under the drug eradication campaign being conducted by the Punjab government to eradicate drugs, anti-drug activities are being organized in various wards and villages of the district.
Addressing the villages Hardaspur, Bahmaniya and Sehjra of Halka Mehal Kalan during these activities, Chairman Privileges Committee Vidhan Sabha and Constituency MLA Mehal Kalan S. Kulwant Singh Pandori said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign will continue till the eradication of drugs and drug smugglers from the state.
During the function at Hardaspur, Bahmani and Sehjra villages of Halka Mehal Kalan, the constituency MLA said that the “War Against Drugs” campaign being run by the Punjab government is getting full support from the people and the Nasha Mukti Yatra is creating a history in terms of eradicating drugs, which the coming generations will be proud of.
Under this yatra, people are giving information to the police about the drug dealers for the eradication of drugs. Now that people have risen up against this scourge, drugs will not remain on the land of Punjab for much longer. MLA Pandori, while mobilizing the people against drugs, said that the aim of the Nasha Mukti Yatra is to eradicate drugs with the cooperation of all sections and making every village and every street drug-free is the priority of the government.
While the Punjab government is completely eradicating drugs from the state by taking strict action against drug peddlers, it is also helping the youth trapped in the grip of drugs to get them off their feet so that they can lead a better life in the society.
On this occasion, he appealed to the villagers, especially the youth, to stay away from drugs and play an active role in freeing the society from this evil. During this, he also took an oath to not allow drugs to be sold in their villages and to make them aware against drugs.
