NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : In a glittering ceremony at ICSR Conference Hall in IIT, Madras attended by more than 250 senior academicians and industrial professionals from the best of institutions in the country Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran, Mohali was conferred with Sustainable Institute Industry Partnership (SIIP) Award. The award is given by Society for Educational and Entrepreneurship Development to recognize institutes and industries which have established effective linkages. The award was received by Prof B Pattnaik, Principal, of Engineering College of Landran Campus from Prof S Dhanapal, Director, NITTTR.
The award to CEC has been conferred on the basis of the outstanding work done by the institution. Fifty four top institutions from the country took part in the contest for the award. After the initial judging procedures a presentation before the awards committee. Engineering College of Landran Campus won this award .
Prof Pattnaik said at the moment that special programmes are delivered at CGC to engineering students to bridge the gap between industry requirements and B.Tech university curriculum. As a result, several well renowned corporations have accredited CGC for placements.
A SEED representative giving the objectives of SEED informed that the organization has been working on providing Training and Development programs for academicians and industrial professionals, facilitating quality assurance through accreditation, promoting industry institute partnership, nurturing entrepreneurship, facilitating publications and undertaking research, development and consultancy projects.
Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman CGC & Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC stated that it is consistent hard work and efforts of faculty, management and students that help in winning such honors.
