NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Chandigarh Administration along with Govt. Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector-16, has started the initiative of evening OPD in Govt. Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector-16, keeping in view the morning rush at the same. Adviser to the Administrator Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS, Inuagrated the initiative along with Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary and Secretary Health, Smt. Navjot Kaur, PCS Joint Secretary Health.
Chandigarh Administration is of the opinion that because of busy schedule the citizens of Chandigarh are unable to take the advantage of the government hospitals and have to spend lot of money from their pockets for consultation is private hospitals. Keeping this in view evening OPD have been started with 5 specialties Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedic, Pediatric, and Gynecologist. Adviser to the Administrator appreciated the initiative and ensured that the same will be expanded soon after the present working 5 specialties are assed.
The OPD will function from existing new OPD where a floor has been designated for all the 5 specialties along with all the supportive services. The timing of the OPD will be 5 PM to 8 PM.
