A brand new anime has landed, and fans are already loving it. Gachiakuta made a strong debut with its first episode, and the buzz online proves it. The series has kicked off with stunning animation, intense emotion, and a dark yet gripping story.
The plot follows Rudo, a boy from the slums who hates how the upper class wastes everything. He lives with his foster father, Legto, and scavenges garbage to find anything useful. But his life turns upside down when Legto is murdered and Rudo is wrongly blamed. With no one to believe him, he is thrown into the Abyss, a pit where society dumps trash and even people.
Gachiakuta started streaming on Crunchyroll on July 6, 2025. But even before that, lucky fans in a few countries got to watch the first two episodes early in theaters. It was a special premiere show that got a lot of praise. This anime is a two-cour series, which means more episodes over a longer run. New episodes drop every Sunday until December 14, 2025. It’s perfect for fans who enjoy weekly doses of action, emotion, and mystery.
Gachiakuta is available in its original Japanese audio, along with English subtitles and English dubbed versions.
