NewZNew (Bathinda) : The Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Dr Basant Garg today conducted first meeting of the newly formed district level advisory committees. Interacting with the members of advisory committees in the meeting he said that these committees are an integral part of the government and their vital contribution can help government do better works.
He appealed all the members of advisory committees to give their valuable suggestions so that this people oriented government could be run in more effective manner. He said that 30 members have been nominated in each of the committee. All the members are those who have been working very well in their respective fields and are representatives of common man in true words. He directed the government officers and employees present at the meeting to take suggestions of committees’ members on government policies and try to implement the same. He added that the meetings of different committees would be conducted soon.
In the first meeting convened today, the deputy commissioner distributed identity cards to members of police affairs committee, revenue, public health, food and civil supplies, urban infrastructure and municipal services, excise and taxation, health, SC, BC and social welfare, power, cooperative and education department.
Prominent among others present at the meeting included DDPO Mr Rajinder Batra, DFSC Mr A P Singh and other officers.
