Fifteen-year-old Gurseerat Kaur, a Class 10 student of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Sector 35 B, has been selected for the 69th National School Games Boxing Championship (2025-26), to be held in Arunachal Pradesh from 15-21 October, 2025. Gurseerat will participate in the U-17 girl’s category.
The boxing bouts were conducted on 8th & 9th September this year. She is being coached by Dr Bhagwant Singh. Earlier, Gurseerat was felicitated by Governor Gulab Chand Jain Kataria during the Independence Day celebrations at the Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh. She also won a gold medal in the Inter-School Boxing Championship. Gurseerat’s father Kanwal Deep Singh is working as the Chief Security Officer at Fortis Hospital Mohali.
