Karam Rajpal visits Chandigarh to talk about the ideologies within a family and how it lead to chaos and confusion during their upcoming wedding track
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : ‘Mere Angne Mein’, a new one hour daily fiction show launched on 15th June, Mon-Sat at 5:30 PM on Star Plus continues to live up to its promise of being a complete family entertainer. Every household runs with a set of thoughts, rules and regulations. While some believe in bringing the change along with time, the others resist any deviation from the tried and tested.
‘Mere Angne Mein’ showcases the clash of ideology between two such people – on one hand is Shanti Devi (played by veteran Krutika Desai), the dominating matriarch of the Shrivastav family who believes in autocracy and running the family on her terms; on the other hand is Riya Saxena (essayed by Ekta Kaul), Shanti Devi’s granddaughter-in-law who believes in running a democratic household. The show depicts the interesting chemistry as a clash occurs between these two ideologies.
Taking this core thought to ground and what the viewers have more in store, actor Karam Rajpal was in Chandigarh to discuss the differing ideologies with which they lead their lives. Karam plays the character of Shivam Shrivastav, Shanti Devi’s grandson who is paired opposite Riya Mathur (Ekta Kaul).
“Mere Angne Mein’ is one show where the viewer’s get a flavor of all genres be it drama, action, comedy, romance or suspense. For the upcoming wedding track I have come to Chandigarh to explore the local market here for the sangeet and wedding shopping. In the show I play Shivam who is a man of his words and is a little reserved in nature. Shivam and Karam are quite similar in real life. I have a job satisfaction in the show and in real life I am thoroughly enjoying my character of Shivam. For the viewers of our show the wedding track will be one roller coaster ride for everyone which dadi and bua are plotting and will have all the drama and unexpected twist and turns”, says a confident Karam.
As per the current track of the show Sarla (played by Ananya Khare) has already started plotting against the marriage, whereas Amit is making sure Shivam does not get a chance to meet Riya. Amidst all this Dadi and Bua are at loggerheads due to their past. Where some are happy and content for others it’s a battleground to be won under any circumstances.
‘Watch the dramatic wedding affair unfold which is full of confusion, conspiracy, mistaken identities, coincidences and plotting in Mere Angne Mein.
