Jalwa Fashion & Lifestyle Exhibition starts

For  fashion enthusiasts of tricity, the summer has begun with a treat in the form of Jalwa Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibition’s Summer Edition. The glamorous & glittering showcase has started  today and will continue till Sunday. Displaying trendy and creative work done by  over 50 designers on a single platform, the exhibition has a collection of numerous designers whose work has been well recognized. It is noteworthy that the creative shoot of Jalwa features none other than Actress Neeru Bajwa’s sister Rubina Bajwa. Her makeover was done by Meenakshi Dutt Makeovers with photography by Deepika Deep Clicks.

The visitors can get a chance to meet  Neha Amit Singla, a Fashion Counselor who will give professional and useful advice as what to shop for at the Exhibition. She will be present at the exhibition on both the days to help the visitors create that astonishing look by giving tips on  matching clothes, colour combinations, genre of clothing that will suit most etc . In Neha’s words, “Fashion today offers one numerous options. However to look impressive & beautiful, selection of proper accessories and an accurate way of dressing up is required. All the work on display at Jalwa is an example of the same.”

Veera Nargeese is there with unique Chantilly lace , Swiss net and Parsi Gara Work sarees which are awe inspiring.   S n K Label from Dubai has designed suits with amazing tailoring and cuts involving digital and pastel shades, the suits have a totally Western look.  Turquoise by Rachit Khanna is there, there is Queen & the Princess which specializes in providing designer wear to mature ladies as well as younger ones. Sonia Kohli with her label – Raas is also  there. Making it a place to choose designer wear from across the country, the exhibition has Pink Mill from Kolkata, Classic Curve from Amritsar and The Chikankari threads from Lucknow.

Not just traditional chikankari the collection also has a fusion of ‘Zardozi’, ‘Aari’, ‘Abla’ ;Kaamdani; with ‘Muqaish’; all put together to enhance the beauty of the product. Kala Doria is also part of the exhibition displaying Georgette weaves, chanderi and cotton with vegetable organic color printing, banaarsi weaves etc. Fashion Club by Neha has lovely Indo Western collections.

Hora Exports has brought Punjabi Jutties with modern concept Phulkari done on these. Fashion seems to be incomplete without jewellery. Y Jewelery is displaying lovely miniature jewellery like bracelets, jewellery in form of hearts etc. Moreover, Jugni by Jyotika has stunning & look alike Padmawat jewellery, those matching what Anushka wore on her wedding etc also on display. Accessories like clutches , trays , potlis, stoles, duppattas are avaialable. there is a wide range of bedsheets, cushion covers, pillow covers and curtains too.
