The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) set up by the HRD Ministry to regulate centralized admissions in premier engineering institutions will publish JoSAA 2017 mock allotment for the registered students. After the publication of JEE Main ranks, the students were asked to register themselves and provide choices of preferred Institutes and Courses at JoSAA website. Check below for more details on the publication of JoSAA mock seat allotment.There are over 36,000 seats in engineering and architecture undergraduate programs for the academic session 2017-18. JoSAA 2017 provides opportunity to JEE qualified candidates to get allotted to one of their preferred course/ institution. Total 97 Institutes comprising of 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and 20 Government funded technical institutions (GFTIs) are offering admissions to the students this year.

Based on the choices filled by the candidates by 5 pm today, JoSAA mock allotment – 1 will be made. The authority will also publish the second mock seat allotment on 23rd June. The mock allotment is being published by JoSAA 2017 in order to provide the students an opportunity to know the chances of getting allocated their preferred seat allocated well before the actual seat allocation is made. The mock seat allotments will be made in two rounds to help the students make better choices.

JoSAA mock seat allotment 2017 will be available after 5 pm today and to check the allotment status, the students will have to login to the JoSAA 2017 website.

The authority will then reconcile the data submitted by the candidates and announce the first round seat allocation on 28th June. The students will be given a 5-day window (from 29th June to 3rd July) to report for securing admission to the allotted seat as per the first round of CAP.
