Kaiju No. 8 is back with a brand new season, and fans can’t wait to see what happens next. This hit anime continues the thrilling story of Kafka Hibino, a man stuck in a dull job cleaning up Kaiju corpses. But Kafka has bigger dreams, he wants to join the Defense Force and fight these giant monsters.
His life changes completely when a Kaiju parasite infects him. He gains the ability to transform into a Kaiju himself. Now called Kaiju No. 8, Kafka must balance his double life, monster and protector. As threats rise, he must face both enemy Kaiju and humans who fear what he’s become.
Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 begins streaming on Saturday, July 19, 2025, only on Crunchyroll. The new season is expected to have 11 episodes. Crunchyroll has not confirmed whether all episodes will release on the same day or weekly. Stay tuned for updates
