With his dashing good looks and hypnotic screen presence, Keanu Reeves acts an impressive collection of characters throughout his decades-long acting career that has left a permanent impact on the world of cinema. 1. Good Fortune (October 17, 2025)

Reeves co-stars with Seth Rogen (‘The Interview’ and ‘This Is the End’) in ‘Good Fortune,’ a Lionsgate comedy directed and written by Aziz Ansari. The film also features Ansari, Keke Palmer, Seth Rogen, Sandra Oh, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. The story revolves around an unemployed man (Ansari) who takes on all sorts of jobs. He’s invited by his friend (Rogen), who resides in the Hollywood Hills, to perform some errands for him, such as installing a disco floor and repairing the pool heater. Keanu Reeves’ “valley” angel exchanges Rogen’s rich boy life with Ansari, so the latter gets the former’s life. 2. The Entertainment System Is Down (2026)

Keanu Reeves will appear alongside Kirsten Dunst, Samantha Morton, and Daniel Brühl in the new A24 comedy directed by two-time Palme d’Or winner Ruben Östlund. The ensemble also includes Tobias Menzies, Connor Swindells, Daniel Webber, and Lindsay Duncan. The social commentary is about a set of individuals on a 17-hour flight and their boredom and interactions afterwards when the entertainment system of the plane fails. Speaking with Variety regarding the film, Östlund said that the film is “a study of how human beings interact in this little laboratory that is a plane” and “will look at how modern human beings are wrecked under these circumstances.” The project is in post-production now. FYI- The producers purchased a real Boeing 747 (retired) for the movie. It comes out in France on December 20, 2025. A US release date is forthcoming even though we can expect to come there in early 2026.

3. Outcome (TBA)

‘Outcome,’ produced by Apple Studios, is a dark comedy movie that catches up with Reef, a struggling Hollywood actor who must deal with his demons and find redemption when he is blackmailed with an ominous clip from his past. The movie is directed by Jonah Hill, who had earlier directed the coming-of-age film ‘Mid90s’ and the Netflix documentary ‘Stutz.’ Hill also appears in the film alongside Matt Bomer, Cameron Diaz, Kaia Gerber, Laverne Cox, and David Spade. The movie, directed by Hill and Ezra Woods, has wrapped up the post-production process. Details of the release are pending.

4. Untitled Romantic Thriller Keanu Reeves/Sandra Bullock Amazon MGM Studios Project (TBA)

Amazon is in the process of making a romantic thriller film, with Reeves and Sandra Bullock as lead actors. The script is written by Noah Oppenheim, although the plot remains under wraps. The film reunites Reeves, Bullock, and producer Mark Gordon, who last collaborated on their 1994 blockbuster film, ‘Speed.’ The production has entered its pre-production stage, and further announcements are likely to be made in the coming months. The chemistry of Reeves and Bullock is iconic, and we cannot wait to see it again on screen.

5. John Wick – The Impossible Task (TBA)

The prequel anime film to the ‘John Wick’ films is under development. It will at last chronicle Wick’s fabled “Impossible Task,” mentioned in the films, whereby he cemented his fear as the one “you send to slay the boogeyman.” The mission was to kill all of his enemies in a single night, which released Wick from his duty to the High Table and sanctioned him to be with the woman he loved, Helen. The anime movie will have stylized action scenes as fans of the mature series expect. Shannon Tindle will be the director, and Vanessa Taylor will write the story. Production is in the hands of Thunder Road Pictures and 87Eleven Entertainment, with distribution being handled by Lionsgate. Reeves will be providing the voice for Wick. The rest of the voice cast is secret for the time being. Further information regarding this intriguing project is anticipated.

6. John Wick: Chapter 5 (TBA)

John Wick: Chapter 5′ is the next in the hit action thriller franchise. The neo-noir motion picture was announced to be in production by President of the Lionsgate Motion Picture, Joe Drake, in May 2023. “What is official is that, as you know, Ballerina is the first spin-off coming out next year.”. We’re in development on three others, including [‘John Wick: Chapter 5’] and including the television series, ‘The Continental,’ which will be airing soon,” the producer said at the time.

“We’re building out the world and when that ‘5’ movie comes, it will be organic — will be organically grown out of how we’re starting to tell those stories. But you can count on a steady rhythm of John Wick,” Drake said. But in August 2023, the director of the first four movies, Chad Stahelski, revealed that he still had to sort out the script of the fifth one. The director explained in an episode of a podcast that he and Reeves are enthusiastic about getting back to the franchise but have to work out a story first. Thus, the movie is in scripting, and its release has yet to be announced. Still, we can anticipate the return of Ian McShane and Laurence Fishburne.

7. BRZRKR (TBA)

Netflix is working on a live-action movie and an anime series from the ‘BRZRKR’ comic book series by Reeves and Matt Kindt. The comics are about an immortal fighter Berzerker, who battles his way through the centuries. Reeves will star in and produce both projects, with Mattson Tomlin set as the screenwriter of the film adaptation. The anime series is a spin-off where Reeves will voice his film character. The actor had previously also stated that he was interested in directing the live-action film. Both the anime series and the film are in production and are yet to be released.

8. Constantine 2 (TBA)

‘Constantine 2,’ a sequel to the 2005 superhero movie ‘Constantine,’ is in production with Reeves and director Francis Lawrence teaming up for the film. The actor is reprising the role of the supernatural demonologist and exorcist John Constantine, drawn from the DC Comics character of the same name. Peter Stormare will reportedly be back as Lucifer. The story of the horror movie is yet to be revealed but in July 2023, the writer Akiva Goldsman (‘A Beautiful Mind’ and ‘The Crowded Room’) revealed that he hadn’t begun “typing” the script yet although he had thought up a tale.

Goldsman compared Reeves to his character in an interview with Deadline: “The character is very much Keanu and the way he and Francis saw the world of good and evil, and the wonderful and authentic noir where there is a world behind the world of good and evil existing together with our world right up close.”. Aside from that, we’re still learning it as I write the script.” Reeves just pitched the film to DC and it remains to be seen how things go with the highly-awaited sequel.
