Kunickaa was born in a mixed, middle-class home. Her dad was from the south, and her mom was Punjabi-English. She is the sister of Kabir Sadanand (actor- director), and Deepak Tijori is her kin by law. She first married Abhay Kothari; they had a son, Arihant. After they split, she fought hard to keep her son. Her next husband was Vinay Lall. They had a son, Ayaan Both unions did not last.
She then saw herself as a lone mom who bravely took on the role of both mom and dad while fixing her own life and job. In the 90s, she was in a known five-year love affair with singer Kumar Sanu. That time in her life got a lot of press, including a major event where Kumar Sanu’s then-wife, Rita Bhattacharya, badly hit Kunickaa’s car.
