Mr. Saeid Heidari, GM at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar wins ‘Best Professional in Hospitality Industry’


Mr.-Saeid-Heidari,-General-Manager,-JW-Marriott-Hotel-Mumbai-SaharNewZNew (Mumbai) : Mr. Saeid Heidari, the General Manager at JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai Sahar has been recognized as ‘Best Professional in hospitality Industry’ for the year 2015 by Safari India at Safari India National Tourism Awards held recently. Mr. Heidari was presented with the award by Honorable Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Union Minister of State for Tourism, Culture & Civil Aviation India.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Saeid Heidari, General Manager, JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai Sahar said, “I was humbled to be presented as the Best Professional in the hospitality Industry. Receiving this honor in the presence of eminent industry professionals further increases my enthusiasm and commitment to strive at achieving overall excellence. However, this would have been an impossible feat for me to achieve without the dedication and continued support of my team.”

Mr. Heidari brings with him 27 years of hospitality experience with Marriott hotels across Middle East and Europe followed by his move to India as the General Manager for Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel and Lakeside Chalet Marriott Executive Apartments, Mumbai.

Mr. Heidari’s first position in the hospitality industry was that of a Security Manager post which he changed his field of expertise to Food & Beverage. In 1996, Mr. Heidari was promoted to Assistant Restaurant Manager at the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel post which he moved to the Leipzig Marriott Hotel as Restaurant Manager. Mr. Heidari’s next role took him to the Courtyard by Marriott Rostock as Food & Beverage Services Manager in 1998. The knowledge he gained made him a natural candidate for the position of Food & Beverage Manager at the Renaissance Duesseldorf Hotel.  Under his leadership, Renaissance Duesseldorf was awarded ‘Hotel of the Year’ in 2000.

After a decade of experience in Germany, Mr. Heidari looked to extending his knowledge base and experience with Marriott. In 2002 he took over his first position in the Middle East; he was promoted to Food & Beverage Director at the Jeddah Marriott Hotel. A year later, he was appointed as Director of Food & Beverage, as part of the opening team, at the JW Marriott Cairo. His next stop took him to Dubai where he joined the team as Food & Beverage Director at the Renaissance Dubai Hotel in 2004.

Safari India National Tourism Awards is given annually to recognize the leadership quality in the field of hotel, tourism and travel agent.
