Narayan Seva Sansthan organizes free limbs and calipers measurement camp: Udaipur based Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS) organized a free screening and limb/caliper measurement camp at the Community Center, Sector 49 C.
The camp was inaugurated by Sanjay Tandon, a noted politician and social worker and Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, Child Rights Protection Commission, UT in the presence of local councilor Rajendra Sharma and Vandana Agarwal, Director, NSS.
Sanjay Tandon praised the Sansthan’s initiatives stating that those who serve society with pure intentions are immortal. He highlighted the work of NSS in empowering the disabled and fostering human cooperation, calling it an inspiration for society. He also announced a Rs. 1 lakh grant to NSS and assured continued support in the future.
Shipra Bansal lauded the Sansthan’s work in empowering differently-abled children over the past 40 years, emphasizing the importance of ongoing efforts to build a healthy society through collaboration with NGOs.
During the camp, attendees heard success stories from beneficiaries whose lives were transformed by the Sansthan’s work. The chief guests and other dignitaries were briefed about the measurement and fitting process by medical professionals and technical teams.
Vandana Agarwal in her welcome address, shared the wide-ranging services provided by NSS, including daily meals for over 5,000 people, free education for underprivileged children and training programs in computer skills, mobile repairs, and sewing. Additionally, ten wheelchairs were distributed to those in need during the camp.
447 patients attended the camp, representing all age groups and coming from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. Of these, 70 patients were referred for free surgery by NSS. The limbs measured at the camp will be distributed in two months at the same venue.
