Nearly 200 cine stars from eight film industries will exhibit thier cricketing skill at CCL: Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), designed to connect cine stars with their fan base through the global game of cricket will be back in February-March.
The grand inauguration will be held in UAE. Around 200 cine stars from eight film industries of the country will showcase their cricketing skills. During a press conference held on Tuesday, the Punjab De Sher team participating in the CCL, co-owners Navraj Hans and Puneet Singh along with CEO Amardeep S Reen said that their team has been participating in the CCL since 2016 and will be participating in the upcoming edition as well.
The event will start in Sharjah on February 23 and will conclude in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) on March 17. All eight teams have been divided into two groups. In Group B, Punjab De Sher will face Kerala Strikers, Karnataka Bulldozers and Bhojpuri Dabangs. Group A includes Bengal Tigers, Chennai Rhinos, Mumbai Heroes and Telugu Warriors.
Gurpreet Ghuggi (player), Ninja (player), Babbal Rai (player) and Gavi Chahal (player) were also present on the occasion.
Punjab De Sher will be led by renowned social worker and cinestar Sonu Sood while Binu Dhillon will be the vice captain of the team. Other members of the team include Pollywood stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Babbal Rai, Ninja, Jassi Gill, Hardy Sandhu, Rahul Dev, Aparshakti Khurana, Gavi Chahal, Yuvraj Hans, Manmeet Singh, Harmeet Singh, Dev Kharour, Balraj Syal, Suyyash Rai.
Punjab De Sher’s first match will be against Chennai Rhinos in Sharjah on 25th February while the second match will be against Telugu Warriors in Hyderabad on 1st March. The next two matches will be held at the Cricket Stadium in Sector 16, Chandigarh.
Punjab Lions will face Bengal Tigers in their third match on March 8 and the final league match will be played against Mumbai Heroes on March 10. After that the playoff will be played on 15th and 16th March in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) while the final match will also be played on 17th March at the same venue.
