New Team led by Raspreet took over the reins of Rotaract Club


NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The Installation Ceremony of the new team of Rotaract Club of Mohali for the Current year  was held at Punjab University At Golden Jubilee Hall  attended by close to 100 guests including past officials from Rotaract and  the Rotary International clubs.


Chief Guest for the evening, DRR (District Rotaract Representative) Mr Mohit Singla, along with the new President Raspreet Singh, addressed function.

Taking the responsibilities as the new president, Raspreet Singh said, “I’m really delighted because I now have a chance to give back something to the society., “Together we will try to achieve more and I am confident that my team will deliver – they are the ones who will make the impossible, possible.”

New team was installed by DRR Mohit Singla. He urged before all the members to extend teamwork. Appreciating the activities of Rotaract Club Mohali he said. “I would like to seize the opportunity to congratulate the Rotaract club of Mohali for the role they have taken up for betterment of society”.

The club has already started the year with a bang by undertaking projects in a short span of time, like distribution of clothes to slum residents that was collected by Rotaract club Mohali team, Blood donation drive, a tree plantation and granting aids to needy students of Slums.

“Rotaract” stands for “Rotary in Action“. Instituted in February 1904, Rotary has a long history of helping those in need a uniting people of different cultures and beliefs. Rotary International is an organization of service clubs known as Rotary Clubs located all over the world. Rotary International (also known as the Rotary Club) is an international service club whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

The sole aim of Rotary has always been the betterment of the society by instilling the idea of “Fellowship through service” to the common masses. To achieve this aim, Rotary thought of tapping the energy of youth and as a result Rotaract Clubs came into existence in 1968. Rotaract is an international organization for young men and women between the age group of 18-30 who believe they can make a difference.

Rotaract Club provides an opportunity to young adults to enhance their knowledge and develop kills that will assist them in their personal development. Today there are over 7000 rotary sponsored Rotaract clubs with more than 200,000 members in some 161 countries around the world. It is one of the largest global networks of youth.
